PMSA to Compete in National Glee Contest! Vote Now
Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy music students are putting their talents in a competition that could yield the school up to $50,000 in cash and prizes, but they need your help.
PMSA’s music students have entered their choral music video into the GLEE Give A Note music competition which supports music education across the country. Hundreds of school music groups have entered for the chance to win funds to support their music education programs. The school with the most online votes will take home the grand prize. The PMSA Academy Singers, The PMSA Gospel Voices, The PMSA Concert Band, and the musical and theatrical productions have entered the competition as a team hoping for the best.
“Each year I am amazed by the talent that walks through my door at the beginning of the school year,” said PMSA’s choral sponsor, Mr. Brown. “These students work hard and provide great performances with very few resources and equipment. This competition will open the doors even wider for our students and allow them to discover and develop their passion for music.”
GLEE will award $1 million dollars in prize money to music programs throughout the United States. Each Grand Prize winner will receive $50,000 cash for their school’s music program. Each First Prize winner will receive $25,000 cash for their school music program. Each Second Prize winner will receive $10,000 cash for their school music program, and 73 prizes will be offered worth $1 million. Nearly 400 groups are competing from across the country.
