Proviso Public Partnership NFP and PMSA have united to bring The Mind Health Matters (MHM) Project to our school community. The MHM Project is designed to emphasize to students that mental health is as important as education and physical health. It aims to support students when they are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, or have displayed early warning signs of suicide.
As part of MHM, Ms. Letti Avila, Social Worker and Clinical Mental Health Counselor from Proviso Public Partnership, is onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30am – 12:30pm to facilitate access for students to talk about their problems. She is an experienced clinician who can determine if ongoing support is required.
